Shie has earned his career 14th & 15th MPSE Golden Reel nominations for his music editing work on Arrow & Just Add Magic. He has previously won twice, once as assistant music editor on the musical Chicago, and again as music editor on IMAX: Deep Sea 3D.
Honoring sound in film, television, gaming and student films from 2016, the Golden Reel Awards will present this year’s Filmmaker Award to Guillermo del Toro – Director, Producer and Writer (known for The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Crimson Peak, Hellboy, Pacific Rim and more) and the Career Achievement Award to Harry Cohen – Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer (known for Deepwater Horizon, Lone Survivor, Memoirs of a Geisha, Wanted, Inglourious Basterds and more)
