LET ME TELL YOU A STORY
For your GRAMMY® Award consideration in the following category:
Best New Age, Ambient Or Chant Album
Originally written and recorded during the pandemic shutdown as a score to a film that would unfortunately never come out, Let Me Tell You a Story is a re-imagining of the score as an album. The music imagines a love story, exploring the excitement and trepidation of meeting and falling in love, to the challenges of navigating a complicated relationship, to loss, grief and hope.
Conceived to play as a continuous piece of just over 71 minutes, the album breaks the music down into 7 tracks, each exploring a different part of the love story, with the 8th track presenting all 7 chapters of the story as a single continuous piece as originally envisioned, allowing the listener to choose how they want to experience the music.
Featuring piano by GRAMMY® nominee Robert Thies, Cello by Stefanie Fife, Drums by GRAMMY® winner M.B. Gordy and additional analog synth design by Jameson Nathan Jones the music blends electronic and acoustic instruments to create a unique and haunting sound that tugs at the heartstrings and touches the soul.
