Lior Rosner’s album Awake and Dream is now available for purchase. The album features soprano Janai Brugger & violinist Katia Popov as well as the Hollywood Studio Symphony conducted by Lior Rosner, with Steven Vanhauwaert & Lior Rosner on piano. Shie worked closely with Lior as music editor.

La La Land Records released Danny Elfman’s score to The Unknown Known today. Directed by renowned filmmaker Errol Morris (Standard Operating Procedure, The Fog of War, The Thin Blue Line). Morris re-teams with his Standard Operating Procedure composer, the masterful Danny Elfman (American Hustle, Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands, Batman), who provides a thematically rich and emotionally intense orchestral backdrop to this mesmerizing chronicle of former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s career in Washington DC. Produced by Danny Elfman and mastered by Patricia Sullivan this release showcases another notable work from one of contemporary filmdom’s most talented and celebrated composers. Art direction is by Dan Goldwasser.

The Unknown Know, is now in theaters, on iTunes and on demand. Academy Award winner Errol Morris, using declassified memos, guides the notorious Don Rumsfeld through a historical and provocative discussion examining his career, philosophy and complex legacy. Shie had the pleasure of working as music editor on this film with a score by Danny Elfman.

DreamWorks Animation’s Mr. Peabody & Sherman is now in theaters. Starring  the voices of Ty Burell, Max Charles, Stephen Tobolowsky, Allison Janey, Dennis Haysbert, Stephen Colbert, Leslie Mann & Stanly Tucci, the film recounts the time-traveling adventures of an advanced canine and his adopted son, as they endeavor to fix a time rift they created. The film was scored by Danny Elfman, with Shie contributing as additional music editor.

Shie has joined forces with Danny Elfman once again, this time providing additional arrangements on cues for Tim Burton’s upcoming feature Big Eyes. The film starring Amy Adams as Margaret Keane & Christoph Waltz as Walter Keane and recounts the outrageous true story of one of the most epic art frauds in history. In the 1960s, painter Walter Keane had reached success beyond belief, revolutionizing the commercialization of popular art with enigmatic paintings of waifs with big eyes. The bizarre and shocking truth would eventually be discovered: Walter’s works were actually created by his wife Margaret. The Keanes, it seemed, had been living a colossal lie that had fooled the entire world.

Shie joins VH1‘s hit show Hit the Floor on its second season. Working closely with music supervisors Joel C. High & Erin Dillon, Shie is music editing this very music laden show providing temp music, cutting songs, on-camera performances and the final score. This is his first time working on a VH1 show.

Shie has joined the crew of Alex Of Venice as music editor. This slice of life film is Chris Messina’s (The Mindy Project, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Argo) first feature as director. The film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Messina, & Don Johnson, with a score by David Wingo.
