Shie has joined the crew of Disney’s Oz: The Great & Powerful. Directed by Sam Raimi, this will be Shie’s 3rd time working with the director, and a continuation of his decade long relationship with composer Danny Elfman. The film stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff & Abigail Spencer and is due in theaters on March 8, 2013
Go On, which has been the number one comedy since it’s premiere, has been picked up for a full season. The sitcom starring Matthew Perry airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC. Score is by John Swihart, Shie is music editing and Kevin Edelman is the music supervisor.
Hitchcock has been slated to open AFI Fest, moving its premiere to November 1, 2012. The film starring Anthony Hopkins in the title role, as well as Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Jesica Biel, James D’Arcy, and Toni Collette, and is scored by Danny Elfman. Shie was the scoring music editor. Hitchcock will have limited release in US theaters on November 23, 2012.

The series co-stars Laura Benanti, Sarah Baker, Tonita Castro, John Cho, Bill Cobbs, Brett Gelman, Allison Miller, Seth Morris, Suzy Nakamura, Julie White, and Tyler James Williams. Score is by John Swihart, music supervision by Kevin Edelman, and music editing by Shie.
Shie has teamed up with director Joe Hahn, best known as member of Linkin Park, to temp score Hahn’s indie feature, Mall. Based on Eric Bogosian’s book of the same title, Mall follows events that tie together the otherwise disconnected lives of 5 suburbonites whose paths intersect at the local mall.
Following his recent work with director Roel Reiné and producer Patti Jackson on Death Race: Inferno, Shie has been hired by the director/producer team to music edit their next film, Dead in Tombstone. This stylized western stars Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo, Dina Meyer and Anthony Michael Hall.
Following the Olympics, NBC aired a full commercial-free episode of it’s new sitcom Go On. The show starring Matthew Perry is scored by John Swihart, with Shie serving as music editor. The show will officially premiere on September 11, 2012 and air Tuesdays at 9:00 PM.

The cast also includes Laura Benanti, John Cho, Julie White, Brett Gelman, Suzy Nakamura, Tyler James Williams, Sara Baker, Tonita Castro, Bill Cobbs, Seth Morris & Allison Miller.
Shie has been invited to lecture during the newly organized International Film Scoring Lab, which is a new class at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia’s Scoula Nazionale Di Cinema – Italian National School of Cinema. The lab’s art director is famed composer Ennio Morricone, and it is directed by Giovanni Rotondo & Federico Savina.
Shie has been hired to work with composer Trevor Morris on his latest collaboration with director Roel Reiné – Death Race: Inferno. This is Shie’s first time working as Trevor’s music editor, though the two have crossed paths before on Hulk. Shie has also been hired to help out on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. This will be Shie’s 6th time working on a Tim Burton Film, and his 18th Feature film with Danny Elfman.
