Shie has been tapped to be Danny Elfman’s music editor on Dark Shadows. This will be his 5th time working on a Tim Burton film, and his 20th project working with Danny Elfman.

Tabloid, the hilarious documentary by Errol Morris on which Shie worked as music editor has been honored with two Cinema Eye Honors, including one for Original Music Score! Shie was music editor on this film, marking his second collaboration with Errol Morris and his first with composer John Kusiak.

Shie provides music editorial services for the upcoming feature documentary Words of Witness. The film takes a look at the Egyptian Revolution and is scored by Barbara Cohen. This is Shie’s first collaboration with Ms. Cohen.

The Danny Elfman & Tim Burton 25th Anniversary Music Box earned a Grammy nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package. Shie is proud to have played a part in the creation of this limited edition boxed set as music editor.

For a Good Time, Call… Shie’s latest collaboration with composer John Swihart will be screening at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The festival will take place Jan 19-29, 2012 in Park City, Utah. Broken, a short documentary examining the accidental killing of a 20 year old Palestinian woman by Israel’s military during operation Cast Lead in 2009 and the devastating cost of the violence on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was invited to screen at the 8th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival. The festival will take place April 19-22, 2012 in Doha, Qatar. Shie scored as well as produced the short.

Shie teams up with composer John Swihart once again as music editor on the upcoming independent feature For a Good Time, Call… The comedy about two women who start a phone sex line stars Lauren Miller, Ari Graynor, and Justin Long, and features some great cameos you won’t want to miss. This is Shie & John’s 5th collaboration, having previously worked together on Randy & the Mob, The Last Word, Flypaper, and most recently Nailed.

Shie joins the crew of Odd Thomas as music editor. Directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Odd Thomas is the upcoming screen adaptation of the bestselling novel by Dean Koontz.

Howard Hall & Shie Rozow presented their film 100 Miles at the closing of the 12th annual San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition to a packed venue at the Qualcomm Hall in San Diego. Since first meeting on IMAX: Deep Sea, where Shie was the music editor, Howard & Shie have collaborated several times on short subject films. Howard Hall  is a 6 time Emmy winner an author and well known for shooting the only three 3D underwater IMAX films in existence.
