Shie is working with legendary composer and bass player Marcus Miller on a new sitcom for BET. Reed Between the Lines stars Malcom-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show) and Tracee Elliss Ross (Girlfriends). Marcus Miller has worked on hundreds of albums, numerous films and TV shows and has earned Grammy Awards for his work with Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, David Sanborn, Bob James, Chaka Khan, and Wayne Shorter.

Shie is working with composer Danny Elfman on the soundtrack CD release of Cirque du Soleil: IRIS. Since the show combines pre-recorded music with live performances, all the live performances have been recorded in studio and the music is being re-mixed, edited for content and musicality and digitally mastered.

Howard Hall’s short film 100 Miles, with a score by Shie Rozow has been accepted into, and chosen to close the 2011 San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition. The event will take place on September 9 & 10, 2011 at Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall’s big screen auditorium in San Diego. Each evening will feature up to sixteen digital films, most of them shot in high definition by some of the finest underwater filmmakers from around the world. Bringing together dance, acrobatics, live video, filmed sequences and animation, Cirque du Soleil’s newest show IRIS begins its run at the Kodak Theater. The show features music by Danny Elfman. Continuing a decade of collaboration with Elfman, Shie contributed his music editorial talents and skills to two of the acts in the show.

Shie was asked to make some last minute music edits and tweaks to the music in a couple of numbers for the new Cirque du Soleil: IRIS, which was scored by Danny Elfman. Shie has been working with Danny Elfman for a decade, but this was his first experience working with Cirque du Soleil: IRIS and the specific challenges and restrictions that a live show presents.

Academy Award winner Errol Morris’s hilarious documentary Tabloid opened in theaters today. This is Shie’s 2nd collaboration with Errol, and his first with composer John Kusiak, who wrote the score.

Shie completed his part on The Raven following four busy weeks along side supervising music editor Del Spiva. In addition, Shie’s music for 100 Miles, the new Howard Hall underwater video has been composed and approved. 100 Miles is the first of two videos by renown cinematographer Howard Hall that Shie is scoring.
